How our appointments system works

Seeing the right person for your needs.

Doctor appointments

For complex medical and psychological problems. Doctors will not routinely deal with Blood pressure checks, Asthma checks, Cervical smears or Family planning/contraception follow up.

Practice nurse clinics

Our Nursing Team delivers a variety of nurse-led clinics for long term conditions such as diabetes, asthma, COPD and heart disease along with family planning & sexual health services. They also provide a full range of treatment room care such as:
  • Childhood and travel immunisations
  • Contraception advice including Implanon and IUCD's coils
  • Women's health
  • Wound care
  • Blood pressure checks and healthy lifestyle support
  • Health screening
  • Phlebotomy blood taking
  • Smoking cessation
  • Alcohol support services
  • Spirometry

    Other Services available include: Psychological services, Weight management, Alcohol and drug misuse, Health trainers, Expert patient programme, Contraceptive Services including implants and coils, Cervical Cytology smears, Child Health Surveillance, Smoking Cessation, Maternity Medical Services, Diabetic Clinics, Childhood Immunisations, Health Promotion Clinics, Asthma Clinics, Long Term Condition Clinics examples include diabetes, heart disease, asthma, Cryotherapy wart removal.

  • Walk-in centres treat minor illnesses and injuries that donot need a visit to A&E. Walk-in centres are open 8am- 8pm, seven days a week including bank holidays. You do not need an appointment and will be seen by an experienced nurse. Your nearest walk-in centre is:
