Sound clinical governance is integral to all services that The Practice provides, as we believe that this should not be seen as an 'add on' to service delivery. The Practice has a formal Clinical Governance Committee covering all areas of the organisation which meets quarterly. Chaired by Dr Jeremy Rose, Clinical Director, the membership of this committee reflects our commitment to the audit process. Beneath this committee sit the local surgeries and services clinical governance committees who also meet monthly. Our Clinical Governance Approach: Patient Experience Domain - A range of measures exist to monitor this, including patient surveys and clinical audit. Workforce Domain - Beyond HR management, this includes appraisals, professional development planning, education and training. Organisational Domain - The logistics involved in delivering right person, right place, and right time care. This incorporates our risk management functions. We embrace I.T. to support all these activities. Critical to successful clinical governance is a no-blame culture. We actively seek patient and staff feedback. We adopt a positive approach to concerns and criticisms. |
